Parsons, KS was a great place to grow up. We lived a few miles northwest of town on the lake road. There were many life lessons learned growing up on that farm that have helped me to become who I am today.

I began my insurance career with Kansas Farm Bureau in September of 1985. The first seven years were spent working with Frank Branham, Labette County Farm Bureau Agency Manager. Frank was a great mentor of whom without I would not be in this business today. In 1992 I accepted the Kiowa County Farm Bureau Manager position in Greensburg, KS. It was a wonderful place with exceptional people that allowed my passion for the business to grow.

As I learned more about this great business I felt ready to start my own insurance agency. So in 1997 I moved back to my home town in Parsons and founded Clemens Insurance Agency. Wow! Starting over with zero customers was quite a difficult task. Many times in the first few years I questioned my decision, but I kept my head down and worked just like Frank had trained me to do. I also received some good advice along the way from another insurance veteran, Gary Seaton. He always provided encouraging words and sound advice whenever I called upon him. It was great getting advice from a pro like Gary, and now that I see others coming into this profession I feel compelled to help them as well. Regardless of where they come from or who they work for, the benefits and possibilities of helping others grow seem endless.
